Paola Navone and McDonald's have collaborated to create seven new restaurants, all with a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. Navone's multi-faceted approach to design blends perfectly with McDonald's French values of hospitality.
The concept took three years to create and implement. The challenge was to combine Navone's classic design with technical requirements. The choice of durable, high quality and aesthetic materials was paramount; digitally printed ABET laminates met these requirements perfectly.
Navone created large and bright light spaces in the restaurants with areas marked with varying soft marine tones and different textures. These brought the spaces to life, embellishing them in unique and surprising ways.
Digitally printed laminates met the designer's stylistic requirements perfectly; he wanted the patterns to have a watercolour effect to make them look hand-decorated. ABET laminates were chosen for the doors, tables and wall materials of the new restaurants.
The new concept was used in seven French restaurants: Chatellerault, Avignon la Cristole, Farebersvillers, Gaillard, Bordeaux Sainte-Eulalie, Rennes Pace and Paris.
